I have been in the fitness industry for over 15 years now and was absolutely blow away with how effective CrossFit was at creating wholistic fitness when I first started with it in 2011.
The variety of the program and the team/community aspect really reminded me of school sport comradery, something I sorely missed. I have also found that its by far the most fun I’ve ever had in a gym, which makes it easy to stay consistent.
Its taught me that by focusing on what I can do in the gym rather than being preoccupied with how it made me look, I am able to have a far more positive relationship with my training. With improved performance always comes improved aesthetics.
Now I can express that athleticism in my everyday life and have a huge new friendship group to enjoy it with.

I've been in the fitness industry for 8 years , with biokinetics being my main focus for 5 years and CrossFit for 4.
I do my best to make everyone feel at home when they walk into a training facility. I feel I have a special knack for understanding peoples needs and adjusting the programme and workout environment to help them train with confidence, be inspired and love their workouts.
I believe in always setting goals before starting anything in life and fitness is no different, always plan what you want to achieve and how you’re going to do it!

I have always been addicted to both individual and team sports and love to compete. I started CrossFit in 2013 and immediately became a passionate advocate of the sport of fitness and the methodology that underpins it.
I completed my Level 1 Trainer Certificate in 2014 and thereafter had the privilege of joining the CrossFit Wanderers coaching team. In August 2016 I completed my Level 2 Trainer Certificate.
I look to pursue excellence in everything I undertake and that includes inspiring those around me to be better on a daily basis and to achieve what they never thought was possible. I believe that CrossFit is not just a sport, it is an outlet to be present for an hour, workout with like-minded people, learn new skills, challenge yourself, look after your physical and mental well-being, learn to love you and what you can do!
I love to test my fitness and progress through competition. I have competed in numerous domestic competitions and have competed internationally in Germany and Barcelona for weightlifting.

I was first introduced to CrossFit back in 2011 while studying & living abroad in Herzliya, Israel. It’s uniqueness in comparison to the regular and mundane gym alternatives hooked me right away. I had never known a sport that is so wholly focused on self-betterment across both physical and mental health spheres combined. Being challenged on multiple levels and seeing the benefits translate outside of the sport into numerous areas of my life made me certain that this would be an integral part of my future.
In the interest of doing my part in spreading the CrossFit methodology I decided to attain my CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2013, and later on my CrossFit Level 2 coach’s certification in 2016 back in South Africa.
The sport of fitness has evolved so much since then and I strive to evolve with it, both as a coach and in my personal life.
There is nothing like this sport and likewise nothing like the Pack Life community!
My Crossfit journey started three years ago, due to jealousy over how much fun my husband was having at the box.
I was hesitant to start due to a bad knee, but with the guidance of the coaches I managed to strengthen my knee and join in on the fun. I have always been active, cycling and teaching Hip Hop and since joining Crossfit Wanderers I have managed to complete my level 1 cerification, join the coaching team and made friends not just in our Wanderers community but also the rest of the larger Crossfit community.
I am in the best shape of my life, being fit while spending it with friends, Crossfit has really changed my life for the better.
Prior to CrossFit, I was a competitive Horse rider in Dressage, Show jumping and Cross-country.
After two years of my brother nagging me to try CrossFit out, I finally took the plunge and have been in a very stable relationship with CrossFit for the last three years.
My decision to become a CrossFit Coach was driven by my fascination with the sport and the ability of the body to become stronger, fitter and faster. Days where you are able to lift a little heavier or just being able to do that gymnastic movement you been practicing for months make all the hard work worthwhile.

As a sports enthusiast and ex-professional soccer player (and firm believer that a sneaky little beverage after a session is great for recovery) I needed to find something to maintain the intensity of training and CrossFit seemed to have been the answer.
I started CrossFit in 2012 and haven’t looked back. The training, the community, the vibe at every box and of course the fact that you meet some unbelievable people have contributed to the longevity of my CrossFit career.
CrossFit and it’s community have contributed to the person I am today and I will be forever grateful for that.
I hail from the North - Polokwane made and raised me. As an avid sports fan, I grew with an interest in soccer and rugby (without the talent to match) so channelled my energy to being a bit of a gym rat in high school.
In my varsity days, I fell into running and later in love of the trails - running and biking (and many falls did I have). It’s in this phase that a friend invited me to check out a Crossift workout... I was hooked - signed up as soon as their class ended. It’s been a constant companion - in the long distant trail days, to the international travel days that followed and still is today 8 years later. My passion is shifting from just enjoying the performance side of fitness to holistic wellness - a journey I’m excited to take with our community.
Outside the box, I enjoy whisky, wine, the holy trinity of sport (footie, rugby, cricket), amapiano (the yanos for the youth) and laughing with family and friends.
I have an absolute passion for the journey of fitness. I’ve competed at provincial level rugby and have crossed the Ironman finish line a few times.
My CrossFit journey started in my garage back in 2011. It was Fran. And it sucked. And it hooked me! Fast forward 9 years, Fran times have improved and burpees still suck.
I was a box owner and head coach a couple of years back and it’s very exciting to be back in the coaching fold - high5’s and loads of friendships! Great to be part of the Wolf Pack!
Lizzy’s online Zoom flow yoga classes celebrate the power of this practice to invoke positive change and purposeful intention. Her teaching mantra is simply: integrity in movement and self-awareness to bring forth mental ease.
Having a dedicated yoga practice for over 10 years and as a certified RYT200 Vinyasa Flow yoga instructor her classes emphasize yoga fundamentals. Students are guided to use the breadth with a sense of exploration whilst building stability, balance and mobility in the body and mind. Her classes are fun and equip participants with a solid foundation and understanding in order to progress through their own unique journeys.
Outside the yoga studio, Lizzy is a seasoned Change Management executive, with corporate experience as a consultant. She lives in Johannesburg with her husband and three children – who benefit from her passion and love for yoga. As her lifestyle, she studies and practices yoga daily alone or with her family and the benefits are positively infinite.
After competing at CrossFit for many years at a regional level I decided I wanted to make the change and help other people achieve their fitness goals, through the experiences I have gained as an athlete in the sport.
I have coached in various CrossFit gyms around the world and I would like to think I understand the sport from both a health and well being level up to an elite performance standpoint from my own competitive years.
I’m passionate about sharing my love for fitness with all people regardless of ability. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing people transform their lives through sound programming and commitment.

I played multiple sports in school and thrived in a team environment. However, when I entered my adult years, I couldn’t find a physical activity that I resonated with. After trying out various physical training methodologies, I eventually attended my first CrossFit class in 2016.
It was the CrossFit Wanderers 'On-Ramp' Saturday class which is held for beginners or for those who would like to reacquaint themselves with the fundamentals. Aiming to impress, I pushed hard and nearly blacked out while doing resistance band sprints, needless to say, I was hooked and signed up immediately!
Since then, my love for the sport has grown in leaps and bounds. It has re-orientated my life, which over time has sparked my passion for coaching. I believe CrossFit hits the sweet spot in life – it combines the unrivalled benefits of functional movements with a supportive community that values family, fitness and having fun.
My goals within the sport have shifted towards wanting to help and inspire others to achieve their own personal victories and to become healthier and happier human beings.
